On the day of your dental implant surgery, you can expect a calm and efficient process designed to minimise stress and maximise results. Our expert team will guide you through every step, ensuring your comfort and satisfaction throughout.

Arrival & Preparation

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled surgery time to complete any necessary paperwork and meet with our surgical team, if required. We recommend a light meal or snack a few hours before your appointment, but avoid eating a heavy meal in the hours leading up to your procedure.

The Surgical Room

You'll be greeted in our serene surgical area by our experienced clinicians and surgeon, if necessary. We'll ensure you're comfortable and answer any last-minute questions before beginning. Oral sedation will be given prior to surgery and for some patient IV sedation will be administered. Local anaesthesia will be administered to numb the surgical site, ensuring you're comfortable throughout the procedure.

Surgery

Using advanced imaging and 3D printed surgical guides, our surgeons will precisely place your dental implants. The procedure typically takes 1-2.5 hours, depending on the complexity of your case. You'll be monitored closely throughout for your safety and comfort. You're own selection of music will be available to make the experience more pleasant.

‍Recovery & Aftercare

After surgery, you'll rest in our recovery area for about an hour to allow the effects of sedation to wear off. Our team will provide personalised aftercare instructions, including pain management and dietary guidelines. You may experience some mild discomfort, which can be managed with the medications prescribed. Most patients return to their normal activities within a few days.
